Do you know the difference between Cajun and Creole Seasoning? While a lot of people think it’s the same thing, there are differences. Cajun seasoning is more focused on the spicy side, such as cayenne pepper and are limited in the herb department (usually it’s main focus is oregano). Their Creole counterpart is the opposite, with more emphasis on the herbs (thyme, oregano, and basil) and less on the spicy side.
So what does this mean for this recipe? Well, we can’t live without our spicy food, so I like to think it’s the best of both worlds. This recipe includes the traditional herbs, but also boasts paprika, cayenne, and black pepper, giving this flavorful seasoning blend the spicy kick it needs to be amazing.
