I don’t know about you but my absolute favorite part of a Thanksgiving meal is the leftovers. The only time I eat turkey sliced up is the initial Thanksgiving dinner but after that I’m all about the open faced turkey sandwich. It’s absolutely delicious, uses up leftover turkey and gravy, and goes well with any side dishes you have hanging around. I love it so much that I will literally eat it for lunch and dinner until the turkey is gone.
What makes this sandwich even better? How about it’s simplicity? All you need is bread, turkey, your favorite gravy and 10 minutes to make this delicious meal! Like your food a little spicy? Me too! I like to top this amazing sandwich with a couple dashes of Tabasco and freshly ground black pepper!
